First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (1988)
Eddie Brock's promising career as a Daily Globe reporter was cut short when he published an article erroneously revealing the identity of a serial killer. He subsequently resorted to writing sensationalistic stories online to earn a living, and blamed Spider-Man for his downward spiral. His hatred of Spider-Man made him an ideal host for a sentient alien symbiote which, having previously bonded with and been rejected by Peter Parker after assimilating his powers, was able to imbue Brock with those powers and transform him into Venom.
Venom has fought Spider-Man many times, most recently as Fallen Venom while corrupted and imbued with infernal power by Lilith. Once you defeat Fallen Venom and complete the subsequent "Shattering Expectations" mission, Venom can be recruited to the Midnight Suns to right the wrongs he committed under her demonic influence.
Venom is a relentless attacker whose insatiable hunger generates a stack of Ravenous at the start of each turn, making his attacks and heroic abilities significantly more powerful. Venom's abilities include powerful ranged and area attacks, but he primarily chews through evildoers one at a time and up close. His Assimilation ability triggers a frenzy for a full turn, giving each of his attacks and heroic abilities the Quick keyword and letting you draw another attack or heroic ability card whenever an enemy is KOed.
Venom is part of the "Redemption" DLC. This DLC can be purchased individually or as part of the Marvel's Midnight Suns Season Pass (a copy of Marvel's Midnight Suns is also required to play). Venom content is unlocked via gameplay.
